Looks nice – good luck ever getting a seat there. The good news is that perhaps it will draw people away from E Street.

It seems like the reserved-seats might actually help this, as long as you don’t do a spur-of-the-moment movie experience. Plan during the week for a Sunday movie and reserve early, then you might be in luck? Time will tell.

      • They do the same thing at the AMC in Courthouse, VA and you have to book more than a week in advance for new films. I love the experience of a bigger, more comfortable seat, but you really have to plan in advance.

        • It’s not that bad. I bought tix for The Martian this past weekend (opening weekend) — got the tickets Wed. afternoon for a Sat. afternoon show, and easily got a block of 4 good seats (the center of row F).

And now that there will be more theaters like that, it’ll be spread out a bit.

    • Hmm, do you think it will be that packed? The Regal Cinemas in Chinatown (while it does have more screens) is still not too bad. Landmark doesn’t show blockbuster films so I don’t think it will get too crazy — at least, I hope!!

  • so excited about the reserved seats! this is going to be fabulous!

“edgier fare unique to Landmark Theatres” – hmmm – Crunchy Frog, Anthrax Ripple?

  • Parking? Metro? Public transit?

    • Martys – it’s close to the U St. Metro stop (green & yellow lines). Street parking would be a nightmare on weekends, as there are a lot of popular bars and clubs within a block or two. I know there are a couple paid parking lots nearby.

  • Tickets available on their website as of a few hours ago!
