  • This looks like the house I’ve been rented for a week each summer in Chincoteague, VA.

  • Popville, thanks for featuring a EOTR home!

This is actually a solid deal–good choice for an artsy group home or somesuch.

  • My girlfriend rents her place a couple blocks away for $2200 a month, so I’d say this is a good deal! It’s a great location.

  • Not very convenient to Metrorail, but seems like a good deal.
When I was looking at the address on Google Maps, I saw that it’s only a few blocks from the Social Security Administration. So it would be super-convenient for anyone who works there.

    • Very convenient to several useful bus lines though.

    • Everyone I know that lives EOTR drives most places anyway. If you work in VA or PG County it’s an easy driving commute from there. A quick bus/bike ride to Navy Yard/Capitol Hill also. I think of Anacostia as more of an alternative to the inner suburbs than to west of the river neighborhoods.

      • Aglets

that’s true. when i lived in penn branch i drove everywhere. i was near a 30s bus line but they were way too unpredictable

  • Wow great deal. And finally a house a family could afford to rent and is walkable to a restaurant, coffee shop, and a metro.

  • What a nice looking Victorian! We live in Hillcrest, but really enjoy Anacostia– the Arts Center, Union Town Bar/Grill, Big Chair Coffee and the theater.

  • Such an under-apprecaited neighborhood! Wish this place was a little close to Metro but it’s great looking and seems like a good deal
