From MPD:

“On Sunday, March 15, 2015, at approximately 3:45 pm, members of the Metropolitan Police Department arrested 44-year-old Daniel Rosen of Northwest, DC, pursuant to a DC Superior Court Arrest Warrant, charging him with Voyeurism and Stalking.

Rosen’s arrest stems from a February case investigated by the Fairfax County Police Department. That investigation led authorities to obtain a search warrant for Rosen’s cell phone, which contained multiple video files that depicted acts voyeurism. The investigation of those videos revealed that they occurred in the District of Columbia. Members of MPD’s Youth Investigations Division determined that the device included images of multiple victims who appear to be females over the age of 18. The incidents occurred in the Adams Morgan, Mount Pleasant and U Street neighborhoods.”

  • according to news stories, he is a counterterrorism expert at the State Dept. (currently on leave) and he was charged last month with soliciting a minor. The new charges came about as a result of that investigation. Glad the cops took this seriously.

  • “depicted acts [of] voyeurism” is kinda vague. What was he doing? Glad they got ‘im.

  • Thanks, Dan, for helping to get the word out.

According to WTOP radio, the photos on his phone indicate that he was hanging outside of windows for periods of time taking photos. He lives right near the center of Adams Morgan, so I’m guessing a lot of us have seen him without realizing.
