  • Not a fan of the area south of the Columbia Heights metro.

  • Anonymous

A friend of mine got beat up right outside that place last year (male 6’2, ~185lbs), and I got mugged at the corner there a couple of months ago (I’m male, 6’5, 200lbs and athletic).

But, and I can’t believe I’m going to say this, but good deal. This place is getting too expensive.

  • Hmm, I can’t remember whether I’ve seen “terrace level” used as a euphemism for “basement” before.

Yeah I was going to say…is terrace level code for “basement” now? Nothing wrong with a basement apartment- just call it like it is!

  • Shame

That apartment is a hussy – exposing its bricks all over the place like that. Won’t someone think of the children?!

  • Grand Funk

A 2 bedroom but not 1 picture of either room out of 30 pictures. Hmm…

  • b

I used to rent a room in that house. At the time the basement was not open for living in. Wonder if the upstairs is still a group house.

B- Are you Andrew B? If so, I am Laura N., and you were my roommate. Now- HH tomorrow (if no work). Also- to clarify, this is a recently-completed basement renovation.

  • 7 pictures that aren’t of the inside or outside of the apartment but are of places within a 1/2 mile of here…but not ONE DAMN PICTURE OF EITHER BEDROOM.

And yes, it’s a basement. And this block is pretty sketch as most others have said.

And in case someone doesn’t know, never hang out at that gas station at the corner of 14th and Euclid.

Thanks for ruining my weekend plans, zenalex!

I lived across the street for 2 years from 2008-2010. I thought it was a pretty good location–access to Meridian Park and the Harris Teeter was awesome. I kept my head up and watched my surroundings at night, and I never had any problems. I’m not saying this is the safest area in DC, but I never had a single bad experience. Though I am a dude, but not a particularly big one. There were occasionally some drug dealers hanging out near the gas station, but they were always quite nice, offering me some shitty weed that I wasn’t interested in.

    • Yeah, I live about a block away and have walked down this block countless times the past 3 years, never have had any problems. Definitely feel more comfortable on this block of Euclid than a couple of the streets above it.
