11th and U St, NW
The folks at Solly’s tell me they’ll be grilling out on the patio this Sunday starting at 12:30. You can catch the games upstairs or at the bar. On the grill from 13th Street Meats:
“Burgers $6, Hot Dogs $3, Wings $5, Half Smokes $8 with all the fixings plus Chili.”
And in more good news their expansion should open in 3-4 weeks.

actual football or soccer?
isnt soccer the american terminology for actual football? the sport that was around a few hundred years before ‘american football’ in which the foot is barely used? maybe it should be renamed ‘throwball’?
Actually, soccer is an English word, derived from “association,’ used to differentiate what we know as soccer from rugby. Soccer is also used in Ireland as there is GAA football, and in Australia where they have “Aussie Rules” football.
Confusingly, there are also two “codes” of rugby – rugby union and rugby league. Union is the code played in the six nations and Rugby World Cup etc. Rugby League is mostly played in the North of England.
Thanks POP!!!!
