Your Afternoon Animal Fix – Help find a missing cat from Bloomingdale

If you have any fun or interesting animal/pet photos please shoot me an email to princeofpetworth(at)gmail(dot)com with ‘Animal Fix’ in the title and say what neighborhood you’re from or upload to the PoPville flickr pool with your pets name and neighborhood. I can’t guarantee I’ll get them all posted but I’ll do my best.

Help find a lost cat from Bloomingdale after the jump.

“My cat Astro is missing. He was last seen late Wednesday night. He’s fat, fluffy, and blond. Please see the following photos.

Astro is a beloved friend and any help you can offer would be deeply appreciated. I’m willing to offer a reward. I can be contacted at 410.259.9115 or [email protected]

I live in Bloomingdale and will definitely keep an eye out for Astro (great name) – fingers crossed he makes his way home!

  • Will Astro let strangers approach & pick him up or do you want people just to not spook him and call you? Good luck.

    • astro is really friendly and social, he should be fine if you just pick him up right quick and carry him inside. thank you everyone!!

    Zoey is quite the pinup!

  • Post signs all over the neighborhood (if you haven’t already) and say you’ll offer a reward for his return. Good luck, I would be sick with worry if one of my pups were missing!!!

  • Try walking around your surrounding blocks and checking basement entrances and window wells. My cat got herself lost a few weeks ago and she was found cowering by a basement entrance looking for safety.

    Good luck!

  • Go home, Astro! Hope you find him soon!

  • Humphrey is quite a distinguished fellow 🙂

  • Astro is adorable. I really hope he comes home safe!

  • I hope Astro comes home soon. Every now and then, my previous cat disappeared and returned 3-4 days later. I think he’d gotten closed into a neighbor’s house or garage. He’s adorable. I love orange tabbies.

  • Sounds gross, but I’ve heard that one way to find a missing cat is by using its own scent. Take some of it’s dirty cat litter out in a bag with you and walk around the area. If you are able to, sprinkle a little bit out. (I guess not if it’s on someone else’s property though!)

Good luck! If your cat is timid, it will probably be closer to your place than you think. Ours got out a few years ago and she was found under our shed. She had somehow burrowed herself into a hole we didn’t even know exsisted!

  • Humphrey is beautiful!

I hope Astro finds his way home.

  • Good news, Astro is home safe!

    This from the owner’s blog:
“I got a call just after midnight from two people who saw him under a car half a block from my house. One bath later and he is right as rain”

  • Yay for Astro getting home, before Irene, no less!
