This is the Coolest Garage

Maybe I just got too much sun but I was amazed at this garage. It is built underneath the front yard of home in Brookland. It is just crazy. That must’ve been quite the effort to build this, yeah? It blew my mind.

  • I can just picture the Batmobile or Dracula’s coach pulling out of this.

  • Again with the suck observations…really? “Blew [your] mind”? I’m sure there are quite a few other things in this world that have shifted your paradigmatic thinking to a far greater degree… No? If not, I’d hate to spend a day surfing along the tectonic plates in your brain that comprise your thoughts and expectations…

  • Why the hate, anon? Thanks, PoP, for thinking up ways to narrate dozens of offbeat photos and finds each week. 🙂

  • It looks like an old cold storage cellar for ice or vegetables.

  • looks like a rape dungin. (yes i meant to say dungin)

  • I agree with Binks (its totally a mini Bat Cave) and Sophia. Some people just don’t “get” PoP. so move one–don’t bash!

  • How far back does it go? It’d be cool if it had a tunnel and stairway up to the house!

  • damn Anon 5:43 am – sounds like somebody’s got a case of the Mondays.

  • Doesn’t look like it goes back very far. I bet Bat Poles lead from the house to an underground lair. When deployed, the Batmobile is lifted to ground level inside this cave. Then, with a huge cartoon Kapow! the trash and recycling bins are knocked out of the way by the speeding car.

  • Can you imagine having to back in or out of that narrow space?! It’s funny how a lot of old garages from the 20’s – 50’s are so narrow, yet the cars of that era seem so wide and tall.
