Holly writes: “Capitol Hill was opened to sledders. Remember it was closed last year after the riot…and there was a lovely snow last year, but the fence was up and no one could sled. Yesterday, there were Cap Hill. police officers all around, and they were helping the families sledding and watching, and laughing with us. It felt like DC again.”

“Tonight, Mayor Muriel Bowser announced that on Tuesday, January 4, DC Government will open at 11:00 a.m. Vaccination and COVID-19 testing sites will be open, with some sites on a slightly adjusted schedule.

COVID-19 Vaccination and Testing Sites

  • Walk-up vaccination sites operating on Tuesday, January 4 are posted on vaccinate.dc.gov.
  • The nine DC Public Library Test Yourself Express rapid antigen test pickup sites will be open from 11:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
  • The 36 Test Yourself DC at-home PCR test kit pick up and drop-off sites will be open for pick up from 11:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.; samples can be dropped off at all sites until 8:00 p.m.
  • Walk-up PCR testing will be available at four sites tomorrow:
