From a press release:

“We are thrilled to announce that we will be opening our second DC location in Georgetown at 3000 K St, NW within the Washington Harbor. We have teamed with Grupo 7 architects and Greenrock Construction on this project to bring our “Pizza Shop of the Future Experience” to the Georgetown waterfront. Whoa haven’t checked in on this development in a minute. A liquor license placard posted for Wm. Mulherin’s Sons says:

“New Retailer’s Class “C” Restaurant serving pizza and other Italian-influenced, wood-fired fare. Applicant is applying for a Summer Garden Endorsement with 40 seats. Total seating inside is 200 with a Total Occupancy Load of 275.

Their website says:

“Wm. Mulherin’s Sons started with the discovery of a derelict, abandoned 100-year old whiskey blending and bottling facility on the S. E. Corner of Front and Master St. The building was constructed in 1890 and has been converted into a restaurant and boutique hotel serving urban, wood-fired Italian.” (more…)

On Monday we posted some scuttlebutt saying that Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana could be coming to D.C. We then learned form a source it would be in Montgomery County. Our good friends at WTOP have found out the location – “Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana, of New Haven, Connecticut — plans to open a new location in Maryland at Westfield Montgomery Mall in 2020.”

*I’m only including one exclamation point because it will be in Westfield Montgomery Mall. Happy for folks that live nearby but that’s a bit out of my coverage area.
