“Dear PoPville,
We went out to our car today and found that someone had put a bunch of dog (hopefully?) poop under both of our door handles, passenger and driver side. This happened on Ontario Rd near the Harris Teeter in Adams Morgan. (more…)

“Dear PoPville,
Is there a limit on how long portable moving containers can occupy a parking space? The one in the attached photo has been the corner of New Hampshire Avenue and T Street NW for several months.”

Thanks to Laura for the reminder! October 31st is Sunday!!

“Dear PoPville,
This is probably a stupid question, but I’ve been in DC for 2.5 years and always managed to find parking around my Adams Morgan apartment (up to 1/4 mile away, though I would have to circle around for up to 20 minutes). However in the last month or two, I haven’t been this lucky a few times. Especially lately, there’s been construction equipment taking up parking spaces. (more…)

Thanks to The Shinning for sending from 20th off K Street, NW.
Having seen some early reaction, while most agree that the signage is confusing, let me just say that yes, when you take a moment the signs are obviously decipherable but the point is that the 7am on the green sign for 5 of those days that you are in fact not allowed to park there is unnecessarily deceiving at first glance. OK, let’s argue about it anyway :)

Thanks to Mary for sending from “outside embassy of Peru this morning….deep breath, everyone!”

Thanks to C for sending from 13th and U Street, NW: “13th and U St NW (more…)

“Dear PoPville,
There are few streets that escape the wrath of DC Parking enforcement. The odd numbered side of 9thSt NW by the intersection of 9th & O St was one of them – until this morning [earlier this week]. DC Parking has been installing paid permanent placards from O to the convention center. Knowing the operating model of parking for the city, is there any widespread notice before this happens, or should those parked that didn’t see the signs go up in a matter of hours expect an immediate parking ticket?“
