Readers have noted that contesting a parking ticket often results in reduced fines. I was recently dinged when my registration/parking permit lapsed on Sunday, but I didn’t renew/print the temporary registration until like 9 am on Monday. Of course parking enforcement had rolled by and given me 2 tickets totalling $130 by then. (The devil works hard but parking enforcement works harder!) (more…)

Hoping for some insight on this, there is construction happening at the townhome (apartment building being built) that was completely torn down, directly next to our apartment building. The construction workers , nothing personally against them, keep putting cones in the street blocking a parking space. There is no sign up permitting wise blocking or securing the parking space. Not to mention there is also parking in the rear of the building. (more…)
