“A Wonder spokesperson tells Eater the food halls will open off U Street (1925 14th Street NW), in Cleveland Park (3519 Connecticut Avenue NW), and in the West End in what’s currently Eat Brgz (1200 New Hampshire Avenue NW), on track to close soon. Wonder’s D.C. expansion tear will continue from there, with plans to double its store count in the future.”

Barry’s, the original high-energy cardio and strength interval training workout studio, is set to open its third D.C. area location at The Yards, joining its other studios in Arlington and DuPont Circle. The newest location in the historic waterfront neighborhood will be at the Boilermaker Shops at 300 Tingey St. SE, Ste 120, and is scheduled to open on February 1. (more…)

Any news on when Dupont Coffee Collective, the spot taking over the Firehook space (1909 Q Street, NW), is expected to open? They have had a note on the door for awhile, but wondering if anyone knows a more specific day or time frame.”

“Dear PoPville,

Looks like Oki Bowl in Georgetown might be moving up the street, their old location is under plastic and their sign is up on the old Jaco space a few doors north. Either that or they’re moving into temporary digs while they renovate. Their website says next available pickup for online orders is January 31.”
