First Poke opens across the street and now Hummus. Thanks to all who messaged about the new coming soon signage for Little Sesame coming to the former Veloce space, which closed back in December. Little Sesame‘s previous location in Dupont closed along with DGS Deli back in February. (more…)

Thanks to Grant for sending the update that Poki DC had opening at 19th and L Street, NW.
Poki District opened their first store in Penn Quarter last year. Their website says they’re also coming to 1399 New York Ave – and other spots in Maryland and Virginia. You can see their menu here.

The Curry Chickpea winter bowl was the most popular seasonal offering in 2017, and now its here to stay. 10% of Sweetgreen’s customers identify as vegetarian or vegan. The new menu introduces lentils, a new vegetarian protein.

“GRK Fresh Greek is excited to announce the opening of a third location in Washington DC at 1000 F St NW in Penn Quarter.

“The cheese mongers at Right Proper Brewing Company Shaw Brewpub are taking their eclectic cheeses and creating twists on the classic sandwich for the month of April. The pop-up will run Tuesdays through Thursdays in April, 12pm – 3pm, to provide a quick lunch option in the Shaw neighborhood.
