Thanks to Nora for sending: “I witnessed the fountain flowing yesterday afternoon –here’s the evidence! The big question for me is, is it still on today???”

Thanks to Terry for passing on the latest update about fixing the Meridian Hill/Malcolm X Park Fountain, from NPS:
“The National Park Service is seeking funding for the repairs to the cascading fountain at Meridian Hill Park. Work needed to be completed before the fountain can operate includes additional rehabilitation of deteriorated concrete and replacement of the variable frequency drive water pump.”

Ed. Note: The fountain also went red this past December too. On Sunday the fountain was dry again and not running at all.
