“Pierre Ajaj and Philip Stone, two chefs of the popular Just Jerk in Lanham MD have opened up the new falafel joint at the busy 9th & U area.
Located directly across from Atlantis and 9:30 Club (the old Andy’s Pizza spot), Falafel Brothers features their take on the popular wrap. The menu is simple, with four separate falafel choices plus the “create your own option.”

In addition to falafels, the menu features manakishes. The dough for this flatbread is made in house comes in four choices: zaatar spice, toum, sesame seed, and a special one with babaganoush and topped with crispy falafel balls.” (more…)

I’ve always been a devotee of Amsterdam Falafel but I hear Old City Cafe is also pretty good. Having spent a bit of time in the Middle East I’ve determined that it is all about the fixings. And Amsterdam has a terrific fixings bar.

I’ve never been to Old City, so for those who have been to both – which is better?
