“Dear PoPville,
I wanted to share a chat I had with Foxtrot customer service. They just opened their second store in Mount Vernon on Monday (first store in Georgetown at the beginning of March) but they only deliver to NW DC. I live less than a mile away from the new store, in NoMa, but can’t get delivery because I’m two blocks over in NE. Seems pretty ridiculous.”
Upon inquiry I received the following response from Foxtrot via email:
“As we continue to open stores in DC, we plan to have a footprint that reaches all Washingtonians. With that comes looking at expanding our delivery radius to the areas we are able to serve while still meeting our commitment of great, efficient delivery.”

Customers can bundle specials from different spots together to take care of all their holiday needs, so they can avoid the kitchen (and dishes) on on New Year’s Eve and spend time with loved ones.

From Ivy and Coney:
“Ivy and Coney Pauses In-House Dining, Continues Pickup and Delivery
Ivy and Coney, DC’s home for tube meat sandwiches and baseball, will be pausing in-house dining for the foreseeable future. We will be serving up dogs and pouring Malort on the deck through this Sunday, December 6th. While the deck is closed, pickup and delivery through DC To-GoGo will continue Thursday to Sunday. So don’t worry, you’ll still be able to get your hot dog and Detroit pizza fix. On top of that, we hope to get a fun market for people to shop online for a variety of local products up and running in time for the holidays (stay tuned!)
No matter what happens, we want to assure folks that Ivy and Coney is not going anywhere. Read More

Last night Miriam asked: “Um, is anyone else in DC unable to order from IKEA because when you enter your billing address, it says that the District of Columbia is an “invalid input”? I just want some outdoor chairs…”
Many people responded with similar frustrations. I think Nikki B. summed it up best: “#TaxationWithoutHomeDecoration”
We first heard about these guys back in 2016. Now’s their time to shine. Thanks to Anne (and everyone else who’ve sent photos) for sending from Davenport and Connecticut Ave, NW. These ones are serving the legendary Broad Branch Market from Starship delivery. Read More
