Thanks to A. for sending on Friday “Lidl put up new signage. Maybe inching closer to an opening date?”

“Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Third District seek the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect in a Voyeurism offense that occurred on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, in the 3100 block of 14th Street, Northwest.

At approximately 1:19 pm, the suspect used a cell phone to take a photo of a female victim while she was in a dressing room. The suspect then fled the scene.

This LIDL in Columbia Heights will be approximately 27,000 square feet.

Part of this space was previously home to a Modell’s Sporting Goods.

Back in September we posted some scuttlebutt about rumblings that a grocery store may be interested in the vacant space(s) in DCUSA (14th Street, NW between Park and Monroe.) Turns out it will be a Lidl!

According to one of the workers, Columbia Heights Target (14th and Irving/Park Road, NW) is under construction because they are putting a mini Ulta inside. Customer service, the food vendor, and Starbucks are being redone so that a very large Starbucks can go in. The Pizza Hut is being removed.” Read More
