Service Bar update from IG (thanks to TOTU for tagging us):

“As a small business continuing to navigate this post-quarantine world – we continue to prioritize the safety of our staff and guests. As such, starting this week, Tuesday, October 26th, we are requiring guests to show proof of vaccination at the door.

Our goal is to provide every guest with the best and safest experience possible. We appreciate compliance with this new standard as well as with DC’s mask mandate. We hope that in doing so we may remain open, and continue to serve you going into the winter/holiday months.

Thank you to all of YOU for your continued support as we navigate life through this ongoing pandemic.”

Our number one priority remains the safety and wellbeing of our visitors, staff and animals. We all feel hopeful that 2022 will bring new opportunities.”

From an email:

From The Mayor’s Office:

The Order further requires that, beginning November 1, 2021, students aged 12 and older must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in order to participate in school-based extracurricular athletics.

“We know that vaccinations are the most effective tool to slow the spread of COVID-19 and protect children who are not yet eligible to receive the vaccine,” said Mayor Bowser. “This new mandate requirement, without a test-out option, will add another critical layer to the robust measures we have implemented to reopen our schools and keep our child care centers safe. We also know that sports are a high-risk activity. Requiring athletes to get vaccinated will ensure they not only stay safe, but also stay in the classroom and are able to participate in school-based extracurricular athletics.”

The vaccination requirements apply to all employees, contractors, interns, and volunteers working in person in a: (more…)
