Last week we learned Plan B Burger Bar would be opening Monday Nov. 3rd – now have a look inside. Don’t be fooled by the name, this is a real deal restaurant and it’s another transformation that blew me away (remember the former pizza place/deli?):

“Dear PoPville,

The Dupont Five Guys which had a sign [back in March] saying it was temporarily closed for a few months has replaced that sign with a permanently closed sign. Real similar to what happened to the potbelly’s right down the street that is now the Custom Fuel Pizza shop.”

Ed. Note: The Dupont location has also been removed from the Five Guys website locations.

Lots of progress for the Plan B Burger Bar coming to the former lunch spot (that had the good slice of pizza) in the Navy Memorial Plaza by the Archives-Navy Memorial metro stop. They’ve now posted a liquor license placard which says:

“A full service restaurant focusing on beef dishes with alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage service. DJs and live musicians may perform occasionally.”

Hours are listed as Sunday through Thursday 11 am – 2 am and Friday through Saturday 11 am – 3 am.

Their website says they offer beef, burgers, bourbon and beer. You can see their full menus here.

A peek inside the space reveals they’ve also completed a lot of the buildout but still have a ways to go before opening. Updates when they get closer.

Thanks to a reader for sending from Shake Shack’s opening in Union Station this morning:

“This is a great design. There are three entrances, one from the outside, you can see in the middle of this picture. One from the corner entrance which is on the left in this picture, its the entrance next to Starbucks and one next to Roti.
