From Lost City Books:
“”We work hard to make Lost City Books a place you want to visit. And listen — while we love to do it, it is a lot of work! We think we deserve a break.
For our second year running, Lost City Books is taking a vacation this August! As a small independent business, it’s a big deal for us to close the store for nearly two weeks and pay everyone for the duration of the break. We do this because we care about our staff getting time off to do whatever they want!
Some of us will be embarking on a weeklong Malört-fueled bender. Some of us will be taking up residence at Banneker Pool. This week I got an email and the signature line had their name, email address, phone number and “Currently Reading:” which I just thought was the coolest. I’d never seen that before. So, I’m currently reading Isaac’s Storm by Erik Larson and am loving it. All of his books are just terrific. So what are you currently reading? And if it’s not good or you’re taking a break – what was the last memorable book you read?
