“Dear PoPville,

With the playoffs approaching I am wondering if there are any good bars to watch baseball in the DMV? Specifically, I am wondering if there are any bars for certain teams (I’m a Mets fan). I used to go to Rebellion pre-pandemic but that’s gone now.”

I’m looking for a way to meet people (I work from home and am cautious about Covid) while still being outdoors. Do you know of any groups in the area that meet somewhat regularly (walking, hiking, etc.)?”

Some previous hiking recs in comments here but please add current options below. I think REI do group outings?

“Dear PoPville,

Any idea what’s going on with the volleyball courts near the Lincoln Memorial? I used to play there every summer, but the courts were closed down during the pandemic quarantine in spring 20202 and never reopened. I found out last summer that they were undergoing renovation. I drove by recently and the courts appear to be finished with new nets, sand, and everything you need to play the game of volleyball except that the whole area is still inside a construction fence. There’s no information online about why they haven’t opened yet. (more…)
