Thanks to Ryan for sending: “A wet and muddy day at the Nepalese Embassy open house, but still great food, music and culture. This corgi pup was snug in his backpack!”

“Dear PoPville,

My boyfriend is in town with his corgi and we took a bunch of buses around the city doing tourist stuff. We have a specially designed backpack for the corgi which is quite secure and seemed to fit the metro rules for “a carrier that the dog can’t escape from”. All of the bus drivers didn’t bat an eye until the end of the day the driver of the 52 bus wouldn’t let us on. (more…)

I guess a sorta Hawks* around Town from Lisa:

“It’s him! The guy who walks down Reno Rd NW wearing a hooded white cape and carrying a parrot!”

If you spot a hawk, any interesting wildlife or celebrity skateboarder Tony Hawk, and get a good photo please send in an email where you spotted them to [email protected]. Thanks! Hawks around Town is made possible by a generous grant from the Ben and Sylvia Gardner foundation.
