Ticket patrol almost nailed about 8 cars on my street for parking in the wrong direction. 2000 block of 8th between Florida and V NW. The problem is my block had switched to one way during the construction of a new building which replaced Towne. The one way signs were removed about 2 months ago but people continued to treat it as 1 way. (more…)

From an email: “Three food businesses operating out of the collaborative kitchen space at 1819 7th Street, Prescription Chicken, Saya Salteña and Astro Doughnuts & Fried Chicken will partner on a fundraising food drive this International Women’s Day (Monday, March 8). In an ongoing effort to support women (Saya and Prescription Chicken are both women-owned) the three businesses will provide the clients of House of Ruth with warm dinner by donating Bolivian salteñas, hot chicken soup and doughnuts.
