“School fire alarm at 10th and V?”

“Dear PoPville,

I’d love to know if any readers have a sense of what’s up with the school and its fire alarms at 10th and V NW? It seems like they’re extremely sensitive or something, but basically, for the last month, every few days or so (or at one point, consecutive days), the very loud fire alarms just go off for seemingly no reason. Wondering if anyone has any information on what sounds like car alarms on electric scooters. Around 14th and U they are constant, and last for varying amounts of time. Is it a specific brand of scooter? What sets off the alarms? Does anyone know how to shut them off? Any information is appreciated! Thanks!”
