Thanks to L for passing on the Craigslist post about Electric Cool Aid’s picnic tables for sale ($40): “I wonder if they are closing or just renovating.”

Happy to say not closing and just a reconfiguration of the space. Electric Cool Aid’s Facebook says:

From Alert DC: ” DC FEMS reports the 900 block of M Street NW is closed due to fire activity. Please avoid the area.”

Update: 3pm:

Word from DC Fire and EMS: “Working Fire 900 block M St NW – Fire
Smoke was showing from rooftop of row house. Fire now under control. One patient transported to the hospital in serious non-life threatening condition. #DCsBravest from Tower 3 on the scene. Currently no other displacements.”

Update 3:15pm: “DC FEMS reports the updated road closures as follows:

900-1000 block of M Street NW and the 1100-1300 Block of 10th Street NW.”

9th and. T Street, NW 11:52pm

MPD reported: “Shooting at 9th & T St NW. No Lookout at this time.”

Around 11:40pm Sophie and others reported: “Multiple gunshots near Pennsylvania and 12th St SE. We didn’t see it but heard it and freaked out. Now tons of sirens. Stay safe, DC!”

“After a few difficult months of hibernation, we are happy to announce that we are officially back! But that’s not even the best part.

This past year was a tough one to say the least, but through these hard times, your love and support shined through, and we cannot be more grateful to be able to serve you back again in a safer environment.
As of today, we are open every Thursday through Sunday, from 5pm (and 4pm on weekends) to close.

We are slowly rebuilding La Jambe with the goal to start serving brunch soon, re-launching wine tastings and events, as well as opening a streatery next weekend that will add more seating outdoors, and eventually to be open daily again.
