Thanks to Rachel for sending the latest from Rendezvous in the former Thai X-ing space near the 9:30 Club. Hard to make out from the signage but looks the lounge will be adding an ice cream spot in the day? Anyone know what’s up here?

A reader reports: “We just woke up to a shootout of 10-15 shots and some poor soul shot on 9th street nw, about half a block north of 930 club. Large police presence here now, around 130am.”
From MPD: “Alert: Shooting investigation in the 2100 block of 9th Street, NW. Lookout is for an Audi or Volkswagen SUV dark color occupied by (3-4) individuals wearing all dark clothing.”

“2 Alarm Fire 1200 block M St NW. Fire involving 8th floor apartment in 9 story occupied apartment building. Had mayday call for firefighter in distress being resolved. A victim has been located in fire apartment. We continue to evacuate residents in distress.”
“Update 2 Alarm Fire 1200 block M St NW. Fire knocked down. We continue to rescue residents in distress, including thru use of our aerial tower. This building contains many seniors. Dealing with smoke conditions on floors above. The mayday was safely resolved.”
