“So a drunk ass driver ran 2 red lights, hit 3 cars in front of cops who didn’t do much (until calls to 911 started, and people flagged them down) last night, and hit 3 cars total before hitting the curb to a stop. cars hit were on 2900 block of Georgia Ave, NW. finally hit a curb and stopped on the corner or Georgia and Girard. 700 b/o Irving St NW btw Sherman Ave and Georgia Ave NW [EB One-Way] due to Police Activity
Alternative Route[s]: Park Rd, Harvard St, Lamont St
Watch for MPD direction // Closures are subject to change”
Some are hearing this was a shooting but that has not been confirmed at the moment. Update when more is known.

A reader reports around 5:50am an intern was hit in the 2400 block of Georgia Ave, NW. He wasn’t sure if the intern was walking or jogging but he sustained a broken leg and is currently stable at Medstar. The driver reportedly stayed on the scene.

“Location of incident: in the rear of 2200 Q Street, NW.
At approximately 12:00 pm., a suspect fired a weapon at the listed location.
Members on the scene recovered two shell casings. No victim, no vehicle, or property were damaged.

“Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Sexual Assault Unit have announced a suspect has been arrested in an Assault with the Intent to Commit First Degree Sexual Abuse offense that occurred in the 2600 block of Georgia Avenue, Northwest, on Tuesday, May 28, 2019.
At approximately 6:50 pm, the suspect approached a female victim while she was walking at the listed location. The suspect physically assaulted the victim with the intent to commit a sexual act. The suspect fled the scene but was apprehended by responding officers.
On Tuesday, May 28, 2019, 30-year old, Robert Marion Buck of Washington, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with the Intent to Commit First Degree Sexual Abuse.”
