“Working Fire 14th & E. Capitol St NE has been brought under control by #DCsBravest despite intense conditions & torrid heat outside. A DC firefighter who lived above store has been displaced. Investigators on scene to seek cause. No injuries at present.” (more…)

“The Third District is currently investigating a shooting in the 1600 block of Oak Street NW. And adult male has been transported to an area hospital with a non life threatening injury to the foot.
Motorists and pedestrians can expect road closures in the area.

“On 6/10/2019 at approximately 3:15pm two subjects riding a scooter approached the victim who was riding his motorcycle at the intersection of 14th and E St SENE (14th & Tenn/E St NE.). Subject 1 got off the scooter and attempted to take the victims motorcycle by force. The victim resisted and Subject 2 attempted to assist in taking the motorcycle. The victim continued to resist when Subject 1 brandished a knife and placed it to the victims neck and demanded the motorcycle again. (more…)
