From MPD around 5pm Sunday:

“The Third District is currently investigating a shooting in the 1600 block of Oak Street NW. And adult male has been transported to an area hospital with a non life threatening injury to the foot.

Motorists and pedestrians can expect road closures in the area.

Anyone with information is asked to call 202-727-9099.”

From MPD around 8:30pm Sunday:

“On 7/14/2019, officers from the First District responded to the 1100 block of K St SE (inside of a location) for the sounds of gunshots. (more…)

Shooting in Columbia Heights; Shots Fired in Navy Yard/Hill East and Daytime Shots Fired in SW Waterfront

“The Third District is currently investigating a shooting in the 2900 block of 14th Street NW. An adult male has been transported to an area hospital with a gunshot wound to the upper body.

Motorists and pedestrians can expect road closures in the area as we investigate.

“Signs now up for The Roost and Show of Hands at the Blackbird construction site!”

Washington CityPaper reported:

“Nick Farrell will lead the first bar to take shape in the 12,500-square-foot space, Show of Hands. You’ve tasted his cocktails at Iron Gate and Hazel.

Within The Roost, NRG will compliment Show of Hands with a beer bar from Greg Engert, plus a host of eateries.”

“On 6/10/2019 at approximately 3:15pm two subjects riding a scooter approached the victim who was riding his motorcycle at the intersection of 14th and E St SENE (14th & Tenn/E St NE.). Subject 1 got off the scooter and attempted to take the victims motorcycle by force. The victim resisted and Subject 2 attempted to assist in taking the motorcycle. The victim continued to resist when Subject 1 brandished a knife and placed it to the victims neck and demanded the motorcycle again. (more…)

“At approximately 1130 pm, First District members heard gunshots coming from the area of the 1100 block of K street SE. Once in the area, they were advised of a male subject that was shot while standing in the 1200 block of Potomac Avenue SE. It is believed that a vehicle drove through the block and shot at the victim. (more…)
