Back in March we learned that Politics & Prose was adding beer and wine options to their coffehouse – an update from the owners:

“The coffeehouse at Politics & Prose has long been a signature attraction of the store, a neighborhood gathering spot for book lovers seeking a great cup of coffee, light fare, and a feeling of community. We’ll have more details in the weeks ahead about some other exciting plans underway for the coffeehouse when it re-opens. But in the meantime we wanted to let customers know that it will be closed beginning January 1 for up to three months. During that period the outdoor entrance into the coffeehouse will not be accessible, so customers coming into the store from the parking lot will need to enter through the back of the Children and Teens Department or through the store’s front door on Connecticut Avenue NW.
