“Fifth District Detectives are seeking information regarding a shooting that occurred this evening in the rear alley of the 600 block of K Street, NE. At approximately 7:00 pm, Fifth District officers were dispatched to a possible shooting in the 900 block of 6th Street, NE. After three years as a staple of the DC farmers market circuit, the local tea company has found its first year-round home inside the Streets Market located at 51 M St NE in NoMa. The grand opening celebration begins at 11 a.m. with one free drink for each of the first 50 customers, followed by a buy one get one free drink promotion for the rest of the day. Since the shooting the other week, there hasn’t been any increased police activity on our street.”
