“Dear PoPville,
I walked by the vacant lot on 15th and Church where the former auto repair shop was. lots of construction. i asked one of the workers what was up and he said they are building out a new Milk Bar, which will open by end of May…no way they make that date but the worker really seemed to know what he was talking about and said they were the exact crew that did the other Milk Bars in DC.”
Back in February Milk Bar confirmed a Logan Circle location:
“Later this year, Milk Bar will open its third location in D.C. in Logan Circle, right at the corner of 15th Street and Church Street NW. Located at 1525 15th St. NW, the 2,382 square-foot bakery will be the largest Milk Bar bakery to-date, serving as the bakery’s flagship location in the region. Housed in a former auto-mechanic shop, the Logan Circle outpost will feature Milk Bar’s first baking classroom in D.C. and second nationwide, and it will be the first shop with seating for guests to dine in-store and in an outdoor courtyard.”

Well that didn’t take long. A tipster with a 99% accuracy rating tells me that a Smoothie King will be taking over the Best in Liquors space on P Street in between the Whole Foods and the coming Phillips Seafood & Steaks (formerly Tortilla Coast.) Ed. Note: Blue Bottle Coffee is also opening up across the street. Last month a Smoothie King opened outside the Farragut North metro. Think a Smoothie King will do well here?

1440 P Street, NW
“Dear PoPville,
I know this is a long shot, but I was in an accident last night around 5pm outside of Whole Foods, and I am looking for any witnesses. I was pulling out of a parking spot on P St in front of Whole Foods when a car stopped to let me out of the spot. Since the car was blocking traffic I pulled out of traffic just as another car, who was frustrated by waiting, whipped around the waiting car and hit me.
I was so shook up by the accident that I just took the guys information and left. Later when I called my insurance company I was informed that he lied about the accident. He did not include the second car waiting for the spot and that he was in the lane of incoming traffic. I was so shook up that I didn’t get the driver of the second car’s information.
I am looking for anyone who witnessed the accident or the owner of the second car, a silver SUV. Also I would be looking for anyone who has ideas of how to get possible footage of the incident. I already called Whole Foods, and they don’t have any security cameras facing outwards.

Responding units have found a vehicle with bullet damage, along with several spent shell casings. At this time, no shooting victims have been located.
