“Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District seek the public’s assistance in identifying two suspects in reference to a Robbery Force and Violence offense that occurred on Tuesday, December 12, 2017, in the 1300 block of H Street, Northeast.
At approximately 7:34 pm, two suspects approached two victims at the listed location. One suspect attempted to take a camera from a victim. The other victim intervened. Both suspects assaulted the victims, took their property, and then fled the scene.
The suspects were captured by a nearby surveillance camera and can be seen in this video [above.]
Anyone who has information regarding this case should call police at 202-727-9099. Additionally, information may be submitted to the TEXT TIP LINE by sending a text message to 50411.”

Big news from Frozen Tropics this morning:
“Shawafel owner Alberto Sissi confirmed to me that he will close his original location at 1322 H Street NE on Dec. 23. He plans to reopen the shop at a new downtown location (818 18th Street NW) in the spring. Alberto is also currently exploring the possibility of opening a location near Eastern Market.”
Shawafel first opened on H Street to rave reviews back in August 2011. Dagger.

“Detectives with the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District seek the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect in reference to a Burglary Two offense which occurred in the 1400 block of Maryland Avenue, Northeast on Saturday, December 9, 2017.
At approximately 12:40 am, a suspect gained entry to an establishment at the listed location. Once inside, the suspect attempted to open the cash register but was unsuccessful. (more…)
