“Dear PoPville,

Any idea if Harry Thomas Pool will be closed for remainder of the season? Locker rooms were overflowing with sewage and roaches yesterday (Saturday)”

and from another reader on Saturday around 4pm:

“Everyone just got kicked out of Harry Thomas pool because “sewage was pouring out of the locker room drains. It was wild! The staff told people to “wear shoes” as they exited through the locker rooms.”

Stay tuned.

Thanks to E. for sending: “They hit Eckington hard. This is one of three I saw. Looks like some people couldn’t get out of the way for street sweeping. Wonder how that works cause the tow truck was making its sweep.”

“Dear PoPville,

A group of us working in DC’s food & beverage community (HAAPI DC) are hosting a Lunar New Year celebration at Lost Generation.

The event will include: unlimited drinks, small bites from your favorite local chefs (Justin Ahn of Incheon, Erik Bruner-Yang of Maketto, Tim Ma of Any Day Now, and more), and a lion dance performance!

Through the generosity of our hosts and partners, we’re donating all of the proceeds raised by the tickets to the 1882 Foundation, which is working to revitalize DC’s Chinatown as a cultural hub.
