“The Metropolitan Police Department announces the arrest of two suspects in a non-contact shooting that occurred in the Eckington neighborhood.
On Thursday, February 27, 2025, at approximately 1:51 p.m., Fifth District officers responded to the reports of sounds of gunshots in the 1700 block of 3rd Street, Northeast. Officers located evidence of a shooting and property damage but did not locate a shooting victim.

“After nearly eight years of serving the Eckington neighborhood, we have reached the end of our lease term. Despite the ongoing support of our landlords through the difficulties of the past five years, operating a brick-and-mortar business in DC is an increasingly costly proposition. It has always been our sincerest hope to be an asset to the community and positive force in the neighborhood. Unfortunately, intentions alone are not sufficient to finance a business.
And so, our last day of serving the public will be Monday, November 25. (more…)
