“Dear PoPville,
I walked by City Tap House on Connecticut Ave NW, south of Dupont Circle, and noticed it was dark and empty inside. Which I thought was odd, especially on a weekend. These signs were in the window. Looks like DC Health closed them temporarily for “violation of the DC food code regulations”, and the restaurant is claiming it’s due to “not having an updated business license”. (more…)

I live in NW next to the T street park (17th and T NW).
Since January 1, 2023, I have heard many loud airplane noises in the neighborhood. This weekend was particularly bad. This week I heard airplanes at 5.09 am.

Signage is up at the new Panera in the former Beefsteak location and workers tell me they’ll be opening the “1st week of February.”
Panera closed south of the circle at 1350 Connecticut Avenue, NW back in May 2020.
Stay tuned for an exact opening date.

A young woman in north Dupont circle is letting her large black lab run around the streets unleashed. It aggressively jumped on me as I was running while she was half a block away. When I asked her to leash her dog, instead of apologizing she angrily held up a leash in her hand. The thing about leashes is that they need to be on the dog. (more…)
