On Monday we shared the news that “A community-centric coffeehouse” was coming to the former Filter space in Dupont. Turns out it is indeed the same folks from P Street. STAY TUNED for updates as they get closer to opening.

Yesterday readers noticed that Soho Tea & Coffee’s windows had been papered over, but like the Larry’s Lounge debacle – all is well! Soho Tea & Coffee now posts on their Facebook:
“Dear customers,
Happy Thanksgiving. May the warm glow of autumn surround you as you celebrate the holiday with family & friends.
Soho is closed during the holiday week.

And this morning Meredith reports: “looks like Soho Coffee and Tea in Dupont closed – just saw a bunch of guys taking out all their furniture.”
UPDATE: whew.

A liquor license placard for Emissary says:
“A community-centric coffeehouse serving tea, espresso drinks, pastries, baked goods, and pre-packaged food items in a casual setting. The licensee is also requesting an Entertainment Endorsement indoors only to provide live entertainment. Total Occupancy Load is 31 with seating for 10 inside the premises and 6 seats on the Summer Garden.”
