“Muncheez, a Middle Eastern fast casual restaurant with locations in Georgetown and Tenleytown, announces the grand opening of its new Dupont Circle location on Friday, August 23, 2019. Located at 1317 Connecticut Avenue, NW, Muncheez Dupont Circle will open doors at 11:00 a.m., and the first 200 people in line will receive a complimentary bowl or signature pita.
The latest additions to the Muncheez menu feature a cauliflower pita made with French fries, lettuce, tomatoes and tahini and a lentil tabbouleh mezze. New components to the eatery’s popular bowls include lentils and baby spinach as a base and fried cauliflower as a protein, expanding the vegan and vegetarian options available for lunch and dinner. Signature Muncheez menu options remain, including chicken and beef shawarmas, hand-rolled spinach pies, kibbes and grape leaves, manakeesh, a Mediterranean-style flatbread, mini pizzas, Nutella crepes, and the option to build your own bowl. “There’s a new business there that is either DC’s newest and most secret speakeasy, or DC’s weirdest retail experiment. It purports to be “Capital Microscope Supply Company”, but how many microscopes do you have to sell to walk-ins to pay rent on the 1700 block of Connecticut?? Even better, they have rotating teaser signs posted on the door – this week it’s “Summer Hours now in effect”.
This has got to be some kind of bar or secret restaurant.”
