NEW Admiral – PREVIEW MENU (PDF)

The Admiral, located steps off Dupont Circle, is a watering hole, restaurant and event venue. Its name pays tribute to Admiral Samuel Francis DuPont for whom the Circle is named. The Admiral provides a vibrant bar scene, seven-day-a-week happy hour specials, spacious private event options and modern American fare. The 6,500 square-foot space features three bars, 12 draft lines and 18 big screen televisions, including a 220″ TV wall. The 3,000 square-foot outdoor patio, one of DC’s largest, affords separate dining, a fourth bar area and event spaces. The Admiral boasts a variety of event spaces, including the Bancroft Bar, a fully private space with its own bar and outdoor area.

Menu: Overseen by Mission Group corporate chef Roberto Hernandez, The Admiral’s menu of modern American fare includes appetizers, sandwiches and entrees plus an expansive raw bar featuring oysters and a variety of shellfish. As with all Mission Group venues, The Admiral provides daily happy hour, bottomless brunch, event spaces with no rental fees and a vibrant weekend late night atmosphere with DJs.

A limited preview dinner menu will be offered the first week; full menu to begin December 26. Bottomless brunch will begin in January 2020.”

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
