“I did not experience a one-off incident, but a pattern of harassment and intimidation.”

“Dear PoPville,

My boyfriend and I were followed and harassed by a homeless man last night around the Logan/Dupont area. The encounter was rather aggressive and continuously escalated – with him blocking our path, trying to get my boyfriend to give him money from the ATM, and yelling and cursing at us until we managed to run away and call the cops.

To warn my fellow neighbors, I put a post out online. Among the flood of comments I received, I saw reports of a man fitting the description in my post similarly harassing people closeby. This makes it clear that I did not experience a one-off incident, but a pattern of harassment and intimidation.

I have a hunch that some of your readers may have encountered the same man and with enough visibility, maybe the guy can be caught.

I called 911 and the operator asked for a description and cross streets. From there she sent cops to patrol the area.

It happened on the corner of 15th & M St NW around 9:10 pm Sunday.

The guy was a white male, mid to late 30s, 5’6 – 5’8, small build. He was wearing a hood, so hair color was hard to tell, but he had a long scruffy light brown beard. He was wearing a dark-colored rain jacket, had a black backpack, and was smoking a cigarette at the time.”

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
