“My husband and I awoke to several shots at 9th & Madison St NW and a dozen or more squad cars in the neighborhood around 11/11:30 last night and I was trying to find more information. Sounds like it was an active weekend in the neighborhood and maybe it’s related.”

800 block of Jefferson Street, NW
From MPD:
“On Sunday November 18, 2018, at approximately 6:25pm Fourth District members responded to call for sounds of gunshots, in the 800 block of Jefferson ST NW. Upon their arrival they located a victim, who had been shot multiple times. The victim was suffering from life threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
This case is actively being investigated by MPDs Homicide Branch. Anyone with any information is encouraged to call MPD on 202-727-9099.”
A reader reported:
“I heard eight or so shots. Heard a similar number near there yesterday [Saturday] at 8pm.”
Another reader heard the Saturday 8pm shooting was around 5th and Kennedy Street, NW.
