Between 3rd and 13th, I made a rough count of 17 buildings under some degree of construction. Some turning into bigger pop ups. Some into large buildings. Some maybe with retail.

Went to drop off my laundry for wash (Sunday around 2:15pm), first time in more than a year since this business used to be on Kennedy Street, and as I was leaving to run a couple errands, two kids started yelling at each other down New Hampshire which then lead to them traveling up towards the Laundromat parking lot. “The Fourth District is currently (7:35pm) investigating a shooting that occurred in the 5400 block of Georgia Ave NW. The victim sustained a gunshot wound to the lower body and was transported to an area hospital. The 5400-5500 block of Georgia Ave NW will be temporarily closed while MPD investigates.

I was riding my motorcycle around 5pm (Monday) and saw a bicyclist with a stroller attached to it that was hit by a car on 8th and Kennedy NW. Fire dept was on scene but ambulance had yet to arrive. (more…)
