There is a sign by the entrance to the lower plaza that explains that despite the popular usage of Malcolm X Park, they can’t change the official name because the park contains President Buchanan’s memorial, (more…)

Adam asked: “Does anyone know what this one single brick built into an underpass on 295 at Bennington Road is all about? What is DC 104?”

We’ve seen a similar one from the south end of Barracks Row and from the Underpass at RFK. At one time Mr.TinMD told us that:

“The upper logo, with the Capitol dome, is a remnant from the B&O railroad. I think they denote B&ORR bridges or something.”

“Attempting to access the Arboretum I was redirected due to a truck that was too tall to make it through the railway overpass on Bladensburg Road and got smushed. I ended up being forced onto NY Ave/Rte 50, and then Kenilworth Ave/295 South. I worked at the Atlanta Olympics so when I exited at Benning Road this logo caught my eye. 26 years after the fact, people are still being directed to RFK for Olympic soccer qualifying matches.”
