On Friday we posted a petition pleading for the “practice of live sandwich making to the DC Wegmans.” And soon it shall be – update from the fine folks at Wegmans:

“We are planning on having a made-to-order sub shop station at the Wisconsin Ave store. “Dear PoPville,

I also took a bunch of photos of the 84,000 sq. ft. Shangri-La. Since the store is opening on Wednesday it wasn’t fully stocked but the photos will give you a good snapshot of what’s to be. (more…)

Thanks to Sean for sending:

“Spotted at the Wisconsin Ave TJs on Sunday afternoon. I parked next to this van from NY and didn’t even noticed the Saran Wrap until I was loading my groceries in my trunk!

Also, TJs have gorgeous artichokes in stock right now for $2.50! I’ve never seen such beautiful artichokes in DC, really big!” (more…)
