At long last the big news from Lidl:
“Lidl US, one of the nation’s top-ranked grocers, will open its newest store in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday, June 28 in Columbia Heights. The store, located at 3100 14th St. NW, will be Lidl’s second in the District after its successful opening in 2022 at Skyland Town Center. The store will hold a soft opening at 8:00 a.m. Local leaders, including Deputy Mayor Keith Anderson, will welcome Lidl to the community at an official ribbon cutting ceremony at 10:00 a.m. The grand opening day celebration will feature get-them-while-you-can special offers for customers. The store will operate from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Sunday. (more…)

Just wanted to give a warning to the community— streets market in Adams morgan on Columbia road has a credit card skimmer issue. My card info was skimmed there last Thursday, my brother had a similar issues at the same store several months ago. I just spoke to the manager who was very receptive to the info and was going back to check their video cameras. (more…)
