2001 S Street, NW, once home to the Secret Safeway (and Glen’s)
Thanks to E. for sending: “I just went to Dawsons and they have signs up saying 15% off groceries, frozen food, wine, beer, etc. I asked the guy at the checkout about it and he told me they are closing on June 29!
I couldn’t find anything on the web about it, only about a month ago when dept of health closed them down for a couple of days.”
A call to the store confirms they will be closing June 29th.
Dawson’s Market took over the old Glen’s Garden Market back in 2021. Prior to Glen’s, who opened here in 2013, this space was home to the Townhouse/Secret Safeway. Secret Safeway closed in 2010.
