“Large brush fire Beach Drive and Park Road NW. At least 2 acres involved. Multiple units operating. Request tanker and additional brush unit from @mcfrs

Update Large woods fire Beach Drive & Park Rd NW. working to establish a perimeter around the fire. In steep terrain. Approx dozen units operating. No injuries. Please avoid area around Beach Drive and Park Rd NW.”

“Amtrak Maintenance Facility at 14th & W Sts NE. photo by DC Fire and EMS”

N. reported to us around 11:30pm last night: “Train tracks and Ivy City maintenance facility is on fire. Diesel tanks on the tracks. At least 10 fire trucks/ambulances flew down New York Ave and it sounds like they sent hazmat trucks too.”

Thanks to Ginger for sending: “Seems like there was a small brush fire in rock creek. It was across the park bridge that crosses over piney branch parkway. Entrance of the trail heading towards crestwood. There were 3 big trucks and 1 brush unit truck.”
