From AlertDC ” DCFEMS reports a road closure in the 2300 Block of Wisconsin Avenue, NW until further notice due to fire activity. Please avoid the area and use an alternate route.

MPD reports the following roads are closed until further notice due to the fire activity in the 2300 block of Wisconsin Avenue, NW:

2200-2400 block of Wisconsin Ave NW, between Calvert Street and W Place NW.
2300-2400 block of 37th Street NW, between Tunlaw Road and Calvert Place NW.

DC Fire & EMS reports: “Collapse incident I-295 N/B prior to Burroughs Ave NE. This does not involve a bridge, but apparently a dropped load of girder type metal from a truck that left scene. 1 vehicle was partially struck. 1 occupant non life threatening injury.” (more…)

DC Fire & EMS reported: “Original call received 12:41 AM. Approximately 75 personnel with 20 pieces of equipment responded and operated on scene.”

“Update 2 Alarm fire 2600 block 31st NW. Original fire structure largely collapsed with fire knocked down other than hotspots. Interior hose lines extinguishing fire in adjacent home. No injuries reported. This photo was on arrival.”

Harrison Jones writes around 1am: “The massive column of fire and smoke from a multiple alarm fire in a massive single family home in NW DC is visible on radar currently.”
