Sharing my voting information situation. DCBOE is currently behind—taking about a month to process voter registration information, meaning that even if you submitted an application prior to their deadline, you may not be actively registered by Election Day. They told me to bring my ID and proof of address to vote on Election Day or visit their office prior to Election Day on 1015 Half Street SE. However, a lot of people will not receive ballots to drop off.

I got a number of reports about delays/lines in voting at Marie Reed in Adams Morgan:

“Wait times are Marie Reed in Adams Morgan are over an hour! Only 3 voting machines in use.”

“Marie Reed only has 3 electronic voting booths so the line is LONG.”

DC Board of Elections replied to us: “We are working to fix the situation at Marie Reed.”

Here’s one for you…wondering if this has happened to anyone else. I went to vote in-person at one of the early voting centers. I’ve been registered to vote for years, voted in-person in the primary, and received a mail-in ballot for the general. I handed the election official my drivers license, and there was no record of me in the system. (more…)
