Election

“Sharing my voting information situation.”

“Dear PoPville,

Sharing my voting information situation. DCBOE is currently behind—taking about a month to process voter registration information, meaning that even if you submitted an application prior to their deadline, you may not be actively registered by Election Day. They told me to bring my ID and proof of address to vote on Election Day or visit their office prior to Election Day on 1015 Half Street SE. However, a lot of people will not receive ballots to drop off.

Another reader writes yesterday:

“I dropped my ballot off at a library drop box. Hadn’t received notification that ballot was received. I called BoE and they said that they had to relocate their mail operations center and that there are delays. Person I spoke with said that notifications will go out by next Thursday and that BoE is picking up ballots two times a day.”
